Questions to ask of an event report.
- Which clinical type does the source actually identify?
- Does the report distinguish suspected, probable, and confirmed cases?
- Is the location a reporting location, residence, or a reported exposure location?
- Does the source establish a connection between cases, or only report them in the same region?
- Has a later publication revised the earlier conclusion?
Our report browser keeps the event’s confirmation status separate from whether an investigation is ongoing or closed. The map does not draw inferred transmission routes.
